Let your light shine for God - Sweet Words of Life

Let your light shine for God

Let your light shine for God. “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined,”( Isaiah 9:2 KJV).

We are called to live a life of faith. There are times that you might feel overwhelmed and empty like you are carrying extra weight. The stress and problems of life can weigh you down and make you feel you have nothing left.

Don’t run out of joy, lean on God ask him daily to renew your strength and give you his peace.

As children of God, we should have a uniqueness about us that radiates with the light of  God. We are not of this world so others should see the Glory of God when they look at us. Our life should lead others to God.

Rest in God and let your light shine

God will fill you up if you feel empty and tired, rest, but don’t quit. Look to God, talk to him, tell him how you feel. Don’t hide your feelings and pretend that everything is ok when you know it isn’t. God is close to you, trust him he will never let you down.

Sometimes you might not feel God’s presence but he said he will never leave you nor forsake you. (See Hebrews 13:5). Take him at his word. Know that he is right there with you. Tell him exactly what you need. He will give you the strength to overcome your trials.

Trust and obey and let your light shine

Allow God to work in you to achieve his divine purpose. Listen and be obedient to his voice when he comes with the solution. The answer might not come the way you expect but trust that he knows what he is doing.

He is the Alpha and Omega. And he is the one who knows the beginning from the end.

Trust him to work it out for you. The Holy Spirit is your guide and he will lead you in the paths of righteousness. Trust him and let your light shine.

Give and let your light shine

You have what it takes to make it. Keep giving of all that you have. As you give to others he will give back to you good measure pressed down, shaken together, and running over. (See Luke 6:38).

You are still alive, so there is still more to give. You are right where God wants you to be, a place of peace. He will give you the strength and guidance to accomplish all he wants you to do.

Live a life of faith and let your light shine

Live by faith and not by sight. Believe God to do the impossible in your life. Work hard to make others see Jesus in you. Train up your children in the right way. Teach them good manners, teach them to stand on the word of God.  Build back the family foundation, on Christ.

With strong morals and ethics, not according to worldly standards but those laid down in the bible. Let the word rule in your heart, life, and your home. Let your light shine bright.

Take care of yourself and let your light shine

Live a good life. Eat right, exercise, and give God thanks. Put out the effort to do your part to live a healthy life. Eat good food, wake up early and exercise, and don’t let yourself go.

Remember the bible says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth,” (3 John 1:2 KJV).

When you are healthy you will feel better and more relax and less stressed.  Feed your mind with good things. Put on good Gospel worship songs and worship.

Worship will bring you into the presence of God and no evil can stay in God’s presence.

Find Joy in God and let your light shine

Seek God and receive his joy. Remember the Joy of the Lord is your strength.

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10 KJV

Live happy, live holy and righteous. Stay away from people who steal your joy. Pessimistic, who are always waiting for things to go wrong.

Those who have nothing to give but always expecting more from you. Encourage them to change but don’t let them change you.

Yield not to temptation

These days we have so many modern technologies to help us live right. You know the food and things that are not good for you. Try your best to stay away from them.

Ask God for the strength to resist these temptations. If you are battling fierce Goliaths then turn down your plate and seek God through fasting and prayer.

Every addiction and bad habit must break in Jesus’ name. There is nothing that can stand against the name of Jesus.

Stop worrying and let your light shine

Worrying doesn’t solve anything but make things worse. Why worry when you can pray. Worrying is useless and pointless.  Jesus is your friend, God is your father and the Holy Ghost is your comforter. You are in the company of divinity, so why worry.

The light of God is shining in you brightly it will dispel the darkness. “For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness,”( Psalms 18:28 KJV). Stop worrying and keep trusting

Give thanks and let your light shine

Give thanks and you will have more things to be thankful for. Praise God and thank him always. God is so good to us. So it isn’t hard to find things to be thankful for.

Thank him for your million small and big miracles. “Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness,” (Psalms 150:2 KJV). Give him glory, give him praise.

Give of your best

Everything you do, do it well. Don’t short-change yourself and others. Work like you are working for God. Let your dedication and hard work speak for you. Never give up on your dreams, push and persevere until you achieve your desires.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16 KJV

Set goals and work to achieve them. If you fail, don’t give up, keep going. Don’t be deterred by people who do not believe in your dream. Keep at it.

You know the plans that God laid on your heart. Trust him and work to make them a reality.

Make sound financial decisions

Try not to let money control your life. Be master of your money. Invest, save and spend wisely. Find ways to increase what you have.

We are called to be productive. Don’t hide your talent, use it to bless others and glorify God.

Try to be financially free, “Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law,” (Romans 13:8 KJV).

Help others and let your light shine

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares,” ( Hebrews 13:2 KJV ). Let your light shine and expand to all you meet.

Represent Jesus here on this earth, by your words and action. Treat people with respect and love them with the love of God.

We know that God is love “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love,” (1 John 4:8 KJV). Love unconditionally like the father.

Be a shoulder that others can lean on, give kind words of encouragement to those that are struggling.

Be Bold and let your light shine

Don’t be afraid to talk about your God and what he has done for you. Try not to worry about what others will think of you. People need to hear about your faith, this way you will lead others to Christ.

You are a light shining in this dark world. “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house,” (Matthew 5:15 KJV). Shine your light for God.

Prayer to Shine for God

Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name. I thank you that Jesus is the light of this world and he is shining through me. Father give me the grace to live a holy life that will show others your heart. Lord help me to always be brave and stand up for you and my beliefs. Lord let me shine bright for you in this dark world. Father take the glory always. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
