Building, or buying a home requires a large investment. It is a great blessing to own a home. You do not have to move from one rented house or apartment to another. You can also feel comfortable and at ease knowing that you’re not simply working hard to pay other people’s mortgages. It’s time to start believing God for your house.
Owning your own home is God’s will for you. It is yours if you desire what God has in store for you. It’s just a matter of asking him. If you pray for a home, God will answer your prayer.
The process begins when you become aware that it is God’s will for you to own your own debt-free house. You must believe his word, and know that he is a faithful father who wants only the best for his children. The word will bring things to life, so we have to get into the word to find what it says about owning a house.
Our house should be beautiful
Our God is the creator of all things beautiful. Everywhere we look we see his awesomeness. We cannot find the words to describe the splendor of what our eyes behold. If beauty is from the creator, then we can say for certain that our house should also be beautiful, both inside and outside. Jesus became a curse for us, he hung on a tree so that we can receive the blessing.
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:”
Galatians 3:13 KJV
Our surroundings should be beautiful, a paradise like the Garden of Eden. This is very crucial to remember when you are believing God for a house.
“And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.”
Genesis 2:8 KJV
Our house should be peaceful
Our God is a God of peace. He promises us peace that passes all understanding. Stand on these words when you are believing God for your house.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 KJV
And this is not just for our minds, but also our dwelling place and surroundings. How can you have peace of mind when there is chaos in your home? How can you have peace of mind if you live in a neighborhood where there is a high crime rate?
A high crime rate means there is a greater risk that someone might break in and rob and steal what you have worked so hard for. So who wants to live: Where you can’t walk the street without fear for your life and safety. Or where there are loud, vulgar neighbors who are always cursing, playing loud music, and disturbing your peace? No, this is not where God wants you to be. Neither does he want you to live in slums and ghettos. His words say we are royalty, priests, and kings.
“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10 KJV
I’m sure this is not referring to Kings and priests of the ghetto and slums.
Our homes should be places of refuge, where God’s life and light can shine through. A place of rest and sanctity.
“And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;”
Isaiah 32:18 KJV
Once you know his will and where you should be then you just need to have faith in the faithful God, that he will fulfill his words and every promise that he has made to us.
“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”
Genesis 15:1 KJV
These were God’s words to Abraham and it is his words to us today. Once we trust him and take him at his words, he will be our shield and great reward.
God promises divine prosperity and multiplication
God’s words are powerful, he wants us to have enough of everything and lack nothing. Why because he is the God of multiplication and expansion. We do not need to know how he will grant our heart’s desires, just the faith to believe that he will.
Fear is always a hindrance to getting what we want from God. Why because faith takes on spiritual eyes, looking beyond the seen to the unseen. Fear says it’s impossible. Faith says it looks impossible, but with my all-knowing God, all things are possible. Exercise your faith, then ask God for the courage to stand and wait until it comes to pass.
God’s words promise us peace, prosperity, and healing. We should not want for any good thing. A house is a good thing, so we should have it. The same way you stand on the word of God, and believe him to heal all your diseases and protect you from your enemies is the same way to believe him for your own house.
Do not doubt God’s words
Don’t harbor doubt when you are believing God for something. Just trust him.”Are you certain that God’s words are true? Have you proven his faithfulness? These are questions that only you can answer. Trust in the word of God and not your feelings.
In the same way that you can believe in God for perfect health, you can also believe him for divine prosperity. Those two blessings are already yours. Make a conscious decision to refuse sickness, lack, and poverty. It does not matter how hard Satan will try he cannot stop the flow of God’s financial blessings. It is your birthright as a child of God, and no one can take your birthright from you unless you willingly give it away.
Decree and declare your way to your house
Whatever you say and stand and believe in faith it shall be yours. So decree and declare that you are financially free, and living in your own debt-free home. If you don’t want to live in lack but in divine prosperity and abundance. Then, say so, “I do not want to live in poverty.” “I am prosperous by the grace of God.” “I live in my own debt-free home. In Jesus’ name.”
“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:” Isaiah 48:17-18 KJV
The God of all good things is the one we should call upon when we are in need. He knows everything, he feeds the bird of the air and tends to the lilies of the valleys. We are more important to him than all these things. So will he not freely give us good things? Surely he will give you a house, a good place to live, which is one of your basic needs. Claim your financial blessings and freedom today.
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luke 11:13 KJV
Prosperity and dominion are your birthrights
God is the one who gives peace, promotes, prospers, and gives great blessings to which there is no sorrow. A prosperous family should also enjoy great peace. Jesus already paid the price for both your prosperity and peace.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
Genesis 1:26-28 KJV
These are powerful scriptures to read when you are believing God for your house. Here, we see part of the will of God for us. First, we are created in his image. With the commission to have dominion over every other thing that he created. That means everything you could think of because was anything made that wasn’t made by him? No, he made it all. He is the creator of the ends of the earth and it all belongs to him.
The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalms 24:1 KJV

“And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;” Isaiah 32:18 KJV
“The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.” Proverbs 14:11 KJV
